THE MOORS....................

THE MOORS……………………………..
The herder did walk along the Scottish moors that day,,
While tending his flock he found it,, apon the ground it did lay,,
A great sparkling blue rock,, that was not there the other day,,
It lay just there apon the ground,, it did seem to confound,,
Now nothing else could be found about around this blue rock,,
So the herder did gather up his flock,, and then headed into town,,

He did inform the town council of what he had found,,
His story did astound,, this telling of the rock apon the ground,,
Then the townsfolk did gather up,, and went to see want he had found,,
They went to the moors to view this rock he found,, apon the ground,,
So they decided to dig it up,, this great blue rock the herder had found,,
Dig all around it they did,, with picks and shovels they went all around,,

Deeper and deeper they did go into the ground,,
The great blue rock did seem to astound,,
For it did go deeper and deeper into the ground,,
They kept on digging deeper and deeper all around,,
Around and around they did go into the ground,,
For many days and weeks they did go round and round,,
Deeper and deeper into the moorish ground,,
This great blue rock did keep going down and down,,
It did seem that there was no bottom to be found,,

Deeper and deeper and around and around,,
They kept going and going into that ground,,
Around and around for no bottom could be found,,
To this great sparkling blue rock,, that was in the moorish ground,,
Many months and years went by as they went round and round,,
Then apon the month of June,, the bottom it was found,,

Now the townsfolk were very much surprised,,
When they looked about with their very own eyes,,
For all about them that they could see,, were Chinese,,
They had not found the bottom of that great blue rock,,
But rather they had found its very very top,, tee hee…………………
