THE MIGHTY 51............

THE MIGHTY 51…………
Its blackened stack does leave behind
Black soot and ash for one to find
Apon the rails it does glide
Faster and faster it whizzes by
Past the stations and thru the night
It goes clickity clack,, clickity clack apon its track
Never does it waver,, never does it wander
Never does it look back…

Thru the mountains,, prairies and towns
The Mighty 51,, powers and makes the wind bow down
On the rail it follows,, to keep its appointed rounds
Clickity clack,, clickity clack,, it does sound
Pulling a mighty load,, it forms like a serpents tail
From engine to caboose it stays apon the rail
The Mighty 51 does show its power,, each and every hour…

More coal to the boiler the engineer does scream
Then does the tender throw with earnest
More shovels of coal into the furnace
To boil the water,, to build up the steam
Clickity clack,, clickity clack,, apon its rail
Thru the night and thru the day
Its whistle does echo and wail
So you will know,, the Mighty 51 comes this way………………

Great little poem. But I couldn't help wondering where it was going with all that whistle blowing and clickity clacking. I mean, I expected there to be a damsel in distress, and at the very last instant an unnamed hero would shoot across the tracks, scoop her up into his strong arms, and save her from the terrible deed of the Mighty 51.

Toot. Toot.

Happy trails my friend.

It whizzes? Okay, I'm tired, but that made me giggle.

As for the meaning of the poem. Is analogous to life? Is analogous a word?

You know I don't write stories about adult woo-woo toys,, that's your department...;-)

There's suppose to be a meaning to the stuff I write?...Why doesn't anybody tell me these things...Now I'll have to start all over again...

Page 1,,
It was a dark and stormy night...

Its a train Drowsey,, just a train...
